March 2018’s Social Media activity targets results were poor. The bullet pointed highlights are - Twitter target reached
- Blogger target missed with a slight fall from last month
- Klout score gained 0.01
To hit a year end target of 700 followers, I am 7 followers behind a linear month pace to reach the target.

Japanese & Chinese Terminology Tweets
April 2018 saw the use of flash card drive up an anemic visitation rate to the blog for the month. The correlation is more firm in my mind that the tweets do led to blog visits. So, I’ll need to do more of them.
Instagram
The size of my Instagram following ended April 2018 with 2,396 followers. My feed averaged a little better of one photo a day. I did miss at least one calendar day without a post. What is interesting is that I have hit a secular peak in the number of followers I have. The value hovers around 2400 sometimes going above the value and sometimes dropping below.
Based on low like numbers, I have found my Instagram followers do not have interests with statues.

For mid-2018 I have a several ideas for Special Issues to add to my regular monthly language postings.
2017 Top 10 most frequently appearing characters in the main vocabulary.
- Cumulative 2017 Tech & telecom, culture corner, & finance terms. That’s 8 Special Issues on these 4 sub-topics. 4 topics X 2 languages = 8 Special Issues
- Special subtopic editions such as (i) Industry names in Chinese, (ii) software terms, (iii) STEM & chemicals, (iv) banking terms, (v) stocks, (vi) central banker terms -- a catch all for finance terms.
- Each of these Special Editions would be accompanied by a listing of all the year’s TTFM posts
The point of it All
The point of all this social media activity is to raise my professional profile. My 2018 target is a Klout Score of 60+. My Klout score decreased to 52.92 from 52.93 over the month of April.
In what I still find odd is that my Kred score, a second social media influence measurement tool, continued to fell in April 2017 to 709/6 after having reached 712/6.

2018 KPI Targets
Goals
- Monthly 17,200+ Twitter Impressions
- Grow Twitter followers to 700 while increasing the ratio of Followers-to-Following from 1.8.
- Monthly 2,001+ impressions for the Tech Telecom Marketing & Finance blogger
- Continue the 1 or more Instagram posts/day. Along with the Non-KPI of hitting 2K followers on Instagram during 2017. To reach such a goal around 2 accounts/day would need to follow me.
- Create & post on YouTube 10 East Asian Language learning videos.
- Create & post on YouTube 10 times
- Reach a Klout score of 60 during 2018. A non-KPI is to track my kred score along with the Klout score and what the correlation.
